Photo booth setup guide
How to set up a professional photo booth.
Plan the entire system — booth device, camera, lighting, printer, software, branding, sharing and offline readiness — before the first guest arrives.
Step by step
Build the booth as one connected workflow.
- 01
Choose the booth device and platform
Start from the camera, printer and event workflow you need. A Windows computer is common for professional camera and printer setups; ClickStation also has an Android edition for supported mobile workflows.
- 02
Choose and confirm the camera
ClickStation has broad support for Canon, Nikon and Sony DSLR or mirrorless workflows plus webcams. Exact compatibility can vary, so check the specific model, firmware, drivers and connection method.
- 03
Plan lighting and guest position
Consistent light and a clear standing or seating position make the booth easier for guests to use. Rental setups can include studio lighting options; owned booths should be tested in conditions similar to the event.
- 04
Configure printing if the event needs prints
ClickStation supports event printing and Epson workflows are especially easy to configure. Do not assume every printer is supported; test the exact printer, driver, media size and layout.
- 05
Build the guest workflow
Choose the capture mode, event branding, print or digital layout and delivery method. ClickStation supports photo, GIF, boomerang, video, 360 video, QR, WhatsApp, email, cloud upload and online galleries.
- 06
Test offline and online paths separately
Core capture and printing can run offline. QR delivery, WhatsApp, email and cloud services need connectivity. Test both conditions so a venue network problem does not stop the whole booth.
- 07
Run a full rehearsal
Use the exact computer or device, camera, printer, cables and layout that will go to the event. Complete multiple sessions from guest start screen through final print or digital delivery.
ClickStation stack
